HI THERE!
Hey JARbabes! We have finally hit our one-year mark at JARS by dani and it's time we started blabbing about it.
I would like to officially introduce myself; I’m the “dani” in JARS by dani! JARS created itself overnight via Instagram when I posted these bad girls on my own personal account @dani_beckerman (follow me!). Since then, JARS have taken off to be what we all know them as today. We're onto great things here so keep checking in with us to see how we're doing.
But...before I leave you, I would like to introduce you to my small, but very dedicated team.
Arielle Ergas is our in-house graphic designer. She spends her days at JBD designing the artwork for your personalized JARS, as well as helping Dani and the rest of the team baking, jarring, packing, and delivering these cuties to you.
Brittney Landrau, an inspiring pastry chef herself, is one of two full-time employees at JARS. Brittney oversees our interns by teaching them how to construct jars to perfection.
And of course we have a fabulous team of interns from all over New York and New Jersey who are now JAR experts.
If you have any ideas you would like to pass along to myself and the JAR team feel free to send us an email at JARbabes@JARSbydani.com or simply comment on any blog post.
Have a sweet day my fellow JARbabes!
THE JAR NAMING QUANDARY
Over the past few months, I've been struggling with what names to give my JARS. Every time I called one "the standard" or the "peanut butter," it drove me nuts because of how annoyingly generic it all sounded.
I envied Ben and Jerry's for their Phish Food and Schweddy Balls.
I considered West Village streets, naming them after friends... nothing clicked.
I constantly use Emojis in place of words, feeling it better communicates what I want to say - in fact, I wish this whole post was in Emojis. Do you not have those few people you talk with exclusively in emoji? oh.
We live in a social media driven, Apple-dominated world; I started JARS through Instagram and therefore decided it would be hilarious to give them names that reflected that.
So yes. My JARS are named after Emojis. Just thought I needed to explain that.
